PUPPY BASICS
How exciting it is to have a new little bundle of puppy joy running around and causing havoc at home, but now the fun begins to get it ready for its life ahead.
Ensure that you get all the basic skills that your puppy will need to navigate life, grow up happy and go out into the big wide world a happy, confident little dog.
About PUPPY BASICS
As the name suggests this 6-week light-hearted class will give your puppy all the basic skills that it needs to get it prepared to take on everything life has to offer. It can be a busy time and a lot of effort in making sure that your new puppy starts off on the right track and grows up with an outstanding temperament and a grasp of basic obedience under its belt.
Let’s have some fun, laughs and enjoyment right at the very start of your journey together – after all, the world’s just too much of a serious place when you grow up
Socialisation
Get your puppy up to speed with learning how to play with other dogs appropriately, getting comfortable being around strangers and not growing up to be reactive with certain common problem-causing stimulii.
Basic Obedience
Puppies are easily handled when they are small and light so it’s easy to to just not bother teaching the basic levels of obedience that will help you to bring up a well-rounded and well-behaved dog. They do grow up to be a bit larger though, so putting in the time now will ensure you’ll have a great dog that you can take virtually anywhere.
Environmental Skills
The environment that us humans live in can be noisy, harsh and sometimes scary and cruel. Helping your new dog build resilience to a host of differing and changing environments will build it’s confidence for life.
Owner Skills & Handling
From getting your dog used to being handled to getting you comfortable handing your dog – both of which are essential everyday skills. Become a leader so that your dog looks to you for answers and sees you as the person that is in control of everything, so it can just relax and go about life being a dog, mostly without a care in the world!
