The DOT Academy
Certificates
When you complete a class with DOT Academy, you are awarded a Certificate of Completion to mark your time spent with us in class.
Whatever class you take with us, you will be proud to hang our beautifully crafted certificates proudly on your wall or place them in prime position on a shelf, cabinet or table.
About Our Certificates
Each of our certificate has a unique colour for each class type and displays a different ribbon depending on how well you and your dog performed in class.

Gold Award
The Gold Award ribbon is awarded to those who have showed an outstanding level of skill and competence in the practice of class exercises, confidence in learning and demonstrating each skill or technique, with an above average dog obedience level required by the class.
Both dog and handler have exceeded the level expected and can confidently progress on to more advanced and challenging classes.
This award shows an outstanding level of accomplishment in class material, understanding, performance, handling skills and dog obedience levels.

Silver Award
The Silver Award ribbon is awarded to those who have successfully met the requirements of the class material and have demonstrated a good level of competence in class exercises, training technique and understanding.
Both dog and handler have reached the level expected and can progress on to other more advanced and challenging classes.
This award shows a solid and confident competence level in class material, handling skills and dog obedience levels.

Bronze Award
The Bronze Award ribbon is awarded to those who have successfully completed the class, but their competence in material, handling skills and/or dog obedience levels, have fallen just below the requirements expected on completion of the class.
Although they may progress on to a more advanced class, it is strongly advised to pay attention to and increase one’s handling skills and the dog’s obedience levels to that expected by the class requirements. They may benefit from revisiting the class a second time.
This award shows a slightly below average level of competence in training material and handling.

Scarlett Award
The Scarlett Award ribbon is awarded to those who have attended class, but have fallen below the expectations required of the class.
Although it still looks great hanging on your wall, there may be various areas that need to be improved upon, including competence in handling skills, understanding of material, or their dog’s behaviour & obedience level. This award is also given for those who’s attendance has fallen below expected levels, but still attended the duration of the class (even though not every lesson).
It is strongly advised that the class is revisited once again or to focus on 1-2-1 training.
